A Taste of Judaism
Rabbi Rim gives us a view of Jewish Spirituality (God), Ethics (Torah), and Community (Israel).
Spirit Links: Our Healing Community
As members of a Temple, many of us are Jewish identified, or would like our children to be. But the very personal meanings of Judaism, and perhaps our struggles with it, remain unspoken and unshared. Spirit Links is a gathering of people led by Rabbi Rim Meirowitz, Cantor-Educator Beth Levin, and psychologist Michele Bograd, who is also a member of our congregation. Through music, Jewish text, and poetry, we turn to questions of spirituality and practice on a deeply personal level. We create a community of conversation that promotes friendship, support, and connection to the wide range of ways that people relate to Jewish values, ideas, practices, and world-views. Please contact Rabbi Rim if you have any questions.
Spiritual Parenting Groups
Two Spiritual Parenting Groups formed based on the book Blessings of a Skinned Knee by Wendy Mogel, Ph.D. These groups met for six sessions at the Temple on Sunday mornings.

Winchester's Third Annual Interfaith Discussion Group. "From Yom Kippur to Easter: Sin, Repentance, and Forgiveness." Members of St Mary's, Parish of the Epiphany, and Temple Shir Tikvah are again gathering together to learn about and share their similar—and diverse—views on concepts and experiences that are at the heart of our three traditions: sin, repentance, and forgiveness. We meet monthly, beginning at the Jewish High Holidays and ending close to the time of Easter. This is a wonderful chance to learn more deeply about Jewish, Catholic, and Protestant beliefs on these subjects. The program is open to everyone, whether Winchester resident or not.
Photography Course for Adults. Learn about Jewish photography from Gordon Bernstein, a professional photographer and Temple member.
Up until the turn of the last century, Jewish participation in the plastic arts had been minimal and derivative, but that changed suddenly. New technologies, the cultural ascendance of the new world, and new social movements led to expression of our ancient ideals in new media. What connects this ancient tradition and this modern medium? Explore the connections of the Diaspora, optics, the labor movement, mysticism, feminism, politics, psychology, color, iconography, justice, and the work and lives of the men and women who, like they did 3500 years ago, brought us a new vision of the world.
