Genesis Initiatives
- Havurot Update. As an outgrowth of the Genesis Assembly and as part of the Temple’s ongoing commitment to building community, Shir Tikvah members are invited to join a havurah. A "havurah" (from the root of the Hebrew word for "friend") is a small cluster of people who are committed to meeting at least monthly around a shared common interest. Havurot Guidelines are now available. To join a havurah, take our survey. Contact VPLeadership@shir-tikvah.org with questions.
- Genesis Shlichut Committee: Exploring and Responding to Issues of Religious Pluralism. October 3, 9:45–11:15 AM
at Temple Shir Tikvah. What are your experiences of being Jewish in a
non-Jewish World? Successes? Challenges? How can we support each other? Join us to share stories about the challenges and opportunities of being Jewish in a non-Jewish world.
For more information contact
tst-shlichut@googlegroups.com.
- Shir Tikvah Genesis Assembly Update. On December 13, 35 leaders met to formulate the vision, timeline, and next steps for each of our three action areas; Havurot, Gesher, and Shlichut. It is not too late to get involved. Learn more.
