Creating Sacred Space

A new approach to family spirituality.

CSS is a new program designed for fourth & fifth grade families. Through educational and social experiences, CSS seeks to reinforce the intimate and spiritual environment of our Shir Tikvah community.

These experiences are to be shared between parent and student. Through a series of encounters with special holiday celebrations, we will come to know one another, explore spiritual connections, and create our own sacred space.

Junior and Senior Youth Groups

We offer two NFTY NE affiliate youth groups that extend the Jewish experiences of young adults with social and educational experiences in more informal settings. The Junior Youth Group (grades 6–8) and the Senior Youth Group (SHTIKY: grades 9–12) have adult advisors with student boards that determine their own programming. They also participate in activities with other Boston area youth groups, including weekend retreats at Camp Eisner. For more information about Jr. Youth Group or SHTIKY, please contact Shahar Colt.

We also offer leadership opportunities within the Religious School. We hire high school students to be student aides in the first–third grade classrooms. These students often have interest in education and go on to be teachers.
