This month's vigil, sponsored by MCAN (MA Communities Action Network), is led by Parish of the Epiphany - Winchester, with other faith and civic groups participating. As of today, we know that UU Winchester, First Congregational Church, Temple Shir Tikvah, and Winchester MultiCultural Network will be joining us. A 47-seat bus has been rented and will be outside Epiphany (70 Church Street) at 1:00 pm, leaving for Boston no later than 1:15 pm. We should be back in Winchester by 4:00 pm. If you plan to ride on the bus, please let Pam Chesterknow. If the bus fills up, we can also carpool. Suggested donation for bus - $10 per person/family. Of course coming directly to the vigil is also fine. Volunteers will help direct you to legal street parking if you come to 20 Bradston St--just look for our signs and banners!
Israel/Palestine Discussion
There has been a desire to gauge interest among students, youth, and parents in conversations about Israel/Palestine. If you would like to be part of exploring the complexities of this topic, which could include discussions about Israel/Palestine on college campuses, or how to help your kids navigate this challenging subject in school, or even how to articulate your own feelings, please express your interest here. The Israel Committee, with support from TST staff, will follow up with more information as deemed appropriate in the next months.
