Rescue Our Vote!

Welcome to TST ROV Postcarding for 2024!

Postcarding begins Tuesday, April 16th and runs through the November general election!

Prior to the general election key southern states hold important primaries with ballot referendums to re-draw voting districts, limit early voting, and confuse voters which keeps people from casting their votes. This is your chance to act.

ROV is a nonpartisan campaign of the Center for Common Ground (CFCG) founded and led by people of color. This year TST’s Postcarding Project joins forces with the URJ Religious Action Center (RAC) and the Center for Common Ground (CFCG) Reclaim Our Vote (ROV) campaign in the nonpartisan action of contacting the voters most impacted by barriers to voting.

We know that PARTICIPATION IN STATE-WIDE ELECTIONS IMPACTS the general election!
Together we can create a safer future for ourselves and for all people by working together to strengthen our democracy.

During the past two nation-wide election cycles, TST completed the largest number of ROV postcards for any single congregation in MA – Over 16,000 for the 2022 mid-terms and over 20,000 for the 2020 general election!

So, we’re pulling out our colorful pens to provide voters the info they need by sending ROV Postcards!
This year you can get your postcards and either write them on your own or join others at an in-person Postcarding Circles. See below for postcard pick-up location.

Who pays for postage and TST ROV postcard printing?

WE DO!!!
We rely on donations from Postcarding Underwriters/Sponsors. Each Postcard sent by our dedicated writers
costs 66 cents for printing and postage – that’s roughly $27 per packet of 40 cards; $66 for 100 cards; $132 for 200 cards; and
$238 for 360 cards. Last election we raised over $9,000 to urge over 16,000 voters to VOTE THEIR POWER!

How many packets should I take?

As many as you can write by the mailing deadline specific for each packet.
Each Packets contains:

•    40 printed postcards
•    40 voter addresses
•    40 postage stamps
•    Instructions for writing postcards

Please follow the instructions contained in each packet! Part of the message is preprinted on the cards, so it should only take you a few minutes to complete each card.
When you pick up your cards, please fill out the sign-out sheet. We need to track who has packets and remind you of mailing dates.

When do I mail my completed Postcards?

Postcards MUST BE MAILED during the mailing dates on the top of instruction sheet! We don’t want voter postcards to arrive too soon or too late!

What types of pens work best?

We recommend extra-fine Sharpie (permanent ink) and smear-resistant gel pens.  We recommend using highlighters for accenting the pre-printed text. Please do not add stickers, pictures, and NO FLAGS of any kind.

What if I make a mistake on a postcard?

Please use White-out or correction tape to fix mistakes. We have NO extra postcards to give you.
