Healthcare Reform Discussion
Thursday, August 15, 2019 • 14 Av 5779
7:00 PM - 8:30 PMTemple Shir Tikvah Oneg RoomDo you have a story about trying to access or pay for health care? Do you know others who struggle with these issues? GBIO (Greater Boston Interfaith Organization) has identified healthcare reform as its major focus for the legislative session ending in July 2020 with the focus being reduction of drug costs, reduction of overall out of pocket expenditures and mental health parity. This aligns with the focus on healthcare reform that the legislature and the Governor have also indicated for this session. GBIO was one of the major consumer groups involved in the last two major healthcare reform campaigns in our state. Please join us on Thursday August 15 at 7 pm at the Temple to share our healthcare stories and learn about GBIOs plans and some of the bills that have been proposed in the legislature. We will also be giving out information about a GBIO healthcare "teach-in" happening on Sept 5. If you cannot join us on Aug 15, but would be willing to share your story or be on an email list to learn more throughout the year (and help with phone calls to legislators or State House actions) please contact Anne Emmerich or Perry Doherty at shirtzedek@shir-tikvah.org. If you would like to learn more about the GBIO healthcare "teach-in" on Sept 5, please also contact Anne or Perry.
