Did you know that 75% of people coming home from prison return within five years, but when someone earns a college degree, it drops to less than 5%? Education is the single strongest predictor of success. Join us to learn more about the Tufts University college in prison and reentry programs, and hear from students and TST mentors. Bring your curiosity and questions, and bring a friend! Through the Tufts Prison Initiative's participation in the College Behind Bars Mentoring Program, incarcerated men and women enhance the skills critical to completing a college degree, build trusting personal relationships, and become empowered with a stronger sense of self and hope for their future while significantly increasing their chances for success when they return to their community.​ Dinner will be served at 6:15 and the program will begin at 6:30.
