Suppressed: The Fight to Vote A short film and dicussion with Shir Tikvah's Phoebe Einzig-Roth Thursday, January 9, 7:00 pm Last fall, Shir Tikvah member Phoebe Einzig-Roth was a freshman at Emory University in Atlanta where she would vote for the first time. Border Stories/Historias Fronterizas January 16, 2019 7 pm - 9 pm Kickstand Cafe, 594 Mass Ave., Arlington Join the Arlington-Teosinte Sister City Project for an evening of true stories about lives in the balance on the US-Mexico border. Refreshments, and handmade jewelry and items for the home from Teosinte, El Salvador will be available for sale. Cosponsored by Shir Tikvah and several local organizations. Project Ezra RECORD DEMAND FOR MEALS THIS YEAR - Please volunteer! Project Ezra is a tradition shared between Temple Shir Tikvah and Temple Isaiah in Lexington, where members of both congregations prepare and deliver Christmas meals to elderly residents and families in Arlington, Bedford, and Lexington. We have 400 meal requests this year - a new record! We need your help to make this a success. More information/sign up here.
Tikkun Olam (Repairing the World) HELP US REPAIR THE WORLD If you are interested in getting involved, contact us. The Tikkun Olam committee is looking for new volunteers to join our temple literacy team and work with elementary students in an underserved Somerville public school.
