Temple Softball Championship - Final Results
Shir Chutzpah, the men’s softball team at Shir Tikvah, had an amazing year. We had a new name, new uniforms and caps (purple), and some new players on the roster. Playing in the MSSL’s A Division, we finished the regular season with a record of 8-2 and won our first playoff game, which put us in the finals with a chance to win the Kiddush Kup.
The purple-capped crew almost made it a cinderella story in the championship game against Israel/Sinai of Sharon at Newton South High School. We came out swinging, fielding well, and making smart plays all over the field, but we lost in the final inning, 15-14. It was a great season for Shir Chutzpah, though, despite not winning the Kiddush Kup. It’s a joy to be together and to play a game we love. If you (or any temple member you know) would like to join us—or become a season-ticket holder—please contact Steve Smith at steveact61@gmail.com or 781-820-6057.
