Adult Learning: Introduction to Prayers in the Temple Services Sunday, March 17 | 9:45 am
Have you ever wondered why we say certain prayers at certain times? What they mean and how they fit into temple services? In the first class of this course on prayer taught by Rabbi Cari, we will explore the structure of the services and how it changes in response to the calendar. The second class will explore the hidden connections between the prayer book and the Torah, helping us to see and hear the prayers as part of a conversation happening across the millennia. Community Purim Celebration Wednesday, March 20 | 6:00 pm
The whole community is invited to join us for professional storyteller Cindy Rivka Marshall's rendition of the Purim story--captivating for all ages!--a spirited teen schpiel, and a costume parade. Pizza dinner at 6:00. Bring your favorite hamentaschen to share after the service--just label them with your name and the filling. RSVP for pizza here!

Sign up to monitor herring at the Mystic Lakes in Medford or Horn Pond in Woburn. No experience necessary, just an interest in nature and citizen science. Learn more.
Meals on Wheels For Winchester Residents. Whether you are incapacitated or you simply no longer choose to cook, Winchester Hospital will prepare your meals during the week and volunteers will deliver them to your door. EnVISIONing a Socially Just World: A Workshop for Youth Saturday, March 16 and Saturday, March 30, 10am - 2pm. The Winchester Multicultural Network will be sponsoring a two-part workshop geared toward youth. The workshop will be facilitated by VISIONS, INC, an organization celebrated for its change-oriented approach to diversity and inclusion work. Benefit concert for the Beyond Bond and Legal Defense Fund in Newton, on March 17th, which helps our immigrant neighbors in ICE detention obtain and pay bond so they can reunite with their families. Composer/Performer Noah Aronson and his band will perform at Temple Emanuel Newton (Ward St) at 4pm. The concert is presented by the Immigration Justice Group at Temple Beth Elohim-Wellesley, with support from area congregations working for immigrant justice.
