Tot Shabbats are monthly family Shabbat gatherings geared for children under six. These lively mornings are a fun mix of singing, dancing, and storytelling, followed by snacks and simple craft projects. Free and drop-in; RSVPs aren't necessary. Meets at the Temple.

This lay-led group discusses Torah over bagels in the library, each Saturday morning at 10:30 am. Join us!

Gather together with Rabbi Cari, Beth, and your Temple Shir Tikvah family for a warm, song-filled Havdalah ritual to mark the end of Shabbat. This event is perfect for all ages. For more information click here.
Torah on Tap Saturday, November 2 | 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm | Oneg Room
Bring the joy of study into Shabbat: Once a month we join over a special beverage for an enriching study of the Torah portion read by Jews the world over that week. Rabbi Cari leads the group, sharing her passion for discussing traditional text in relationship to our modern lives.

Try some “Euro”, deduction, strategy, cooperative, and card games such as "7 Wonders," "Settlers of Catan," "Forbidden Island," "Pandemic," "Ticket to Ride" -- or play old favorites like "Rummikub," "Boggle," and "UpWords". Please bring and teach your favorite games, too! Adults only and BYOB. We’ll provide soda and light snacks.

Join TST's Welcoming the Stranger committee to watch and discuss "Harvest of Empire: A History of Latinos in America." This documentary helps to explain why thousands of people from Central America are seeking refuge in the U.S., despite the perilous journey north and the ever more brutal reception they receive on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Israel event: Liron Zohar: Medical innovation at the Israeli Ministry of Health Sunday, November 17 | 7:00 pm | Temple Shir Tikvah
Liron Zohar, director of national programs at the Medical Technology Information and Research (MTIR) Directorate in the Israeli Ministry of Health, will discuss their efforts to promote Israel as a startup nation in the medical field and will share her efforts and challenges in promoting gender equality. Project Ezra Looking for volunteers!
Project Ezra is a tradition shared between Temple Shir Tikvah and Temple Isaiah in Lexington, where members of both congregations prepare and deliver Christmas meals to elderly residents and families in Arlington, Bedford, and Lexington. The Tikkun Olam committee is looking for new volunteers to join our temple literacy team and work with elementary students in an underserved Somerville public school. Centering Prayer/Meditation Circle Wednesdays | 6:30 am -7:00 am | Ripley Chapel, First Congregational Church in Winchester, UCC, 21 Church Street, Winchester
Begin your Wednesday mornings in Ripley Chapel with a time of silent prayer starting this Wednesday, October 30th. We'll begin with a brief reading, spend 20 minutes in silence and close with a prayer. Meditation mats/cushions (and regular chairs) are provided or bring your own.

Greetings Shir Tikvah from your fellow God-seekers down the street at First Congregational! We have finally finished the renovations to our chapel (Ripley Chapel) and will begin a weekly early Wednesday morning (6:30-7:00am) meditation circle on October 30. We wanted to let you know in case any of the more contemplative types in your community would like to join us in silent prayer. We'd love for our communities to pray together in this way. We'll keep it simple - an opening reading, 20 minutes of silence and a closing prayer. Just come if/when you can any Wednesday morning and find us by entering the doors on the side of our church closest to your synagogue. Peace, Rev. Will Burhans
