What's Happening at Virtually Shir Tikvah Week of June 1, 2020
A Message from Rabbi Cari and Beth
The breath of each person is God’s candle. Proverbs 20:27
Dear Shir Tikvah family,
As we reel from the murder of George Floyd, z’’l, and the continued horror of the systemic racism that plagues our country, we reach out to you in love and in mourning. We will gather together on Friday night at 7:30 pm, in our virtual Shir Tikvah sanctuary, a reminder to connect and to breathe. As we grieve, as we rage, and as we act, we offer these words from the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism for guidance.
May George Floyd’s memory be for a blessing.
May the pain in our land and in our hearts be an opening to new possibilities of transformation.
Rabbi Cari and Beth
